Devlog#9:Polish_1

Nearing the end of the project, we mainly added features that increase readability and give more player feedback.

The fire lighting has been randomized to make it feel more natural. The light also no longer clips through the incinerator.

The smoke plumes coming out of the incinerator have been brightened to make them more noticeable. The chimney is also shorter so more of it can be seen from the camera's perspective.

When an incinerator has a x 1.5 multiplier, the flames now turn purple.

Some small particle systems used do decorate the arena have been added:

To make the explosions feel more impactful, there is now some screen shake and controller rumble whenever one happens.

When any item is thrown into an incinerator, the flames light up and some smoke comes out. This is to make it more readable that points are being scored.

There is also a small shadow below the player characters now.

The skybox now rotates to give an impression of movement. The meteorites also rotate in random axes now to make it feel more natural. A glass window seperates space from the level.

The transition from the main menu to the game have been added but still need to be implemented.

A lot of the trash items have recieved a new texture to fit with the game's art style better, and some props even got an updated model.

Stun, attack and win animations have been reworked to be more snappy and readable.

All props now have a custom collision box to make picking up and throwing them easier.

Hologram rings pulse above the button before the start of the game to indicate that players need to stand on it in order to start the game.

Two songs, one for the menu and one for the level, have been composed and added to the game. The ambient sounds track had also been added.

For the final week we will mainly focus on the missing sound and UI elements.
